Tamarac, FLNovember 26, 2007 Rent’N Go Franchise Relationship: It must be right for everybody.
RNG, LLC, franchisor of Rent’N Go custom wheels and tires retail locations, has established its business relationship philosophy as the foundation for its continuous dealings with stakeholders of its growing chain of franchises. “Each must be a win-win business relationship. If it can not be win-win, we want no part of the relationship,” said Jim Taylor, the company’s Vice President of Operations. “Participating in win-win calls for a mutual understanding of the roles played by each participant, clearly defining the responsibilities, and communicating openly and regularly on all relevant issues. The air must be totally clear.” As the franchisor, RNG’s stated philosophy is --- The franchise agreement is our starting point for win-win. It clearly states the mutual responsibilities and obligations of the Franchisee and the Franchisor, and serves as the fundamental guide for a cooperative enterprise. However, as the relationship progresses, additional agreements are made on a regular basis. They, too, are to be structured as win-win. “It simply boils down to doing what you say you will do. At RNG, we make that commitment to each pf our stakeholders, particularly to our franchisees,” added Taylor. “A positive image and reputation is most important to the future of our company. Without a solid image and reputation among all with whom we are involved, we really have nothing.” Understanding this attitude must be embraced by all, RNG will continually communicate the critical nature of win-win relative to its image and reputation to all its stakeholders. Further, the company will regularly monitor its standing among all with an eye toward continuous improvement. “This is serious business to us. We can not, and will not, take any action in our business dealings that have even the slightest chance of damaging the image and reputation of our company. We want our franchisees, employees, suppliers, investors, etc. to be proud to say they are involved with RNG. Focusing on positive qualities and monitoring performance in line with those qualities will go a long way toward building and maintaining solid business relationships,” concluded Taylor.
